With SYnergia Portugal, you have two ways to live your european volunteering experience, in partnership with the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+.
European Solidarity Corps
The European Solidarity Corps is an European Union initiative created in 2016 that aims to create opportunities for young people to volunteer, work and carry out their own projects, in favour of a more inclusive European Society, offering support to vulnerable people and responding to social challenges.
– To join the ESC, you must be between 18 and 30 years old. If you are 17 years old, you can sign up, but you can only participate when you turn 18.
– You also have to live legally in the European Union or in one of the following countries: North Macedonia, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia or Russian Federation.
– Another very important requirement is to accept and commit to its mission and principles, so read them carefully here.
– ESC’s volunteering activities can go from 15 to 60 days, if it’s a short-term project, or 60 to 365 days, if it’s a long-term project.
– If you’re ready to face a new challenge, are motivated to be part of a solidarity initiative and connect with ESC’s mission and principles, then it’s time to start your registration here.

Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s program to support young people’s education, training and sports in Europe.

– To join the Erasmus+, you must be between 18 and 30 years old.
– You also have to live legally in the European Union or in one of the following countries: North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Turkey. If you live in another country, you can still join, but only under certain circumstances you can get to know here.
– To join Erasmus+ as an individual, it’s possible that you have to do it through an association, organization or company.
– Eramus+’ activities can go from 15 to 60 days, if it’s a short-term project, or 60 to 365 days, if it’s a long-term project.
