Vila Real, capital of the district and province of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, stands out as a city of rural characteristics, marked by the green and fertile landscape, with terraces and mountainous terrain, but with the focus turned to the future.
With 20 parishes and around 52 thousand inhabitants, it’s also a city full of opportunities for young people, with the presence of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, which distinguishes itself as an institution oriented towards the creation, transmission and diffusion of culture, knowledge and science.
A developing region, Vila Real allows the promotion of youth entrepreneurship, in a relationship of proximity to the community and strengthening of the social fabric. Here, and with this possibilities in mind, we continue promoting, closely with young people and the community, our values of justice, solidarity, responsability, cooperation, social conscience, as well as being a place to exercise and claim rights: environment, mobility, culture, sports, leisure and promotion of intergerational bonds in the community. We also make room for the growth and development of the projects and dreams of young people living in rural and interior spaces.
